The aeroway key is used to tag physical infrastructure used to support aircraft, air travel, spacecraft and space flight, in particular the elements associated with airports, spaceports and heliports etc. For further details on how to create aeroway features and how they are presented, see Aeroways.

aeroway	apron		Airport apron is an area where planes are parked, unloaded or loaded, refuelled, or boarded.
aeroway	control_center		Control center (in the US referred to as air route traffic control center (ARTCC)) is a facility responsible for controlling aircraft en route in a particular volume of airspace (a Flight Information Region) at high altitudes between airport approaches and departures.

aeroway	gate		Airport gate is used to mark the gate numbers at the airports where passengers wait before boarding their flight.

airmark	beacon		Radio navigation aid is used to mark systems that determine a position on the Earth which helps pilots guide their aircraft during flight.
aeroway	parking_position		A location where an aeroplane can park
aeroway	runway		Runway is a rectangular area in which aerodrome are prepared for the landing and takeoff of aircraft.
aeroway	stopway		Stopway is a rectangular surface beyond the end of a runway used during an aborted takeoff.
aeroway	taxilane		Taxilane is a path in an airport that is part of the aircraft parking area or apron (Proposed feature with low usage as of 2015-10; use with an eye towards the question correct usage).
aeroway	taxiway		Taxiway is a path on an airport connecting runways with ramps, hangars, terminals and other facilities.
aeroway	terminal		Airport terminal is a building at an airport where passengers transfer between ground transportation and the facilities that allow them to board and disembark from aircraft.
aeroway	tower		Control tower is a tall, windowed structure located on the airport grounds. See also aeroway=control_tower or combination of man_made=tower + service=aircraft_control for similar schemes.
aeroway	windsock		Windsock is designed to indicate wind direction and relative wind speed.
